Right now in Hamilton there is several inches of snow. I would say about 5. It has been coming down hard and non stop. The roads are ugly, buses have stopped and become stuck, while other buses are delayed. With all of this being taken into account, does the university decide to cancel night classes so that the people who are commuting don’t have to take a risk to get here? NO! The what the hell. What gives someone the right to decide that others should risk their lives to get here to write midterms and attend night classes or labs. I know that other places in Canada have it worse but then again this is not something Hamilton is used to.
This amount of snow should constitute a “snow day”. Remember those? Well apparently in the university world there don’t happen. This amount of snow should be a sign to professors and such that they should give their students a rest and not stress them out anymore then they are right now especially with the ever increasing assignments and not to mention midterms. This is just getting frustrating. And to top it off… I am getting tired of having to change my sock because snow got in my shoes from walking to one building to another.
All in all snow is something that should help procrastination but doesn’t!
